Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The role involves providing project management for clinical psychology/psychiatry research studies, teaching and mentoring research coordinators, students, and volunteers, and contributing to program development in graduate studies in clinical psychology. The ideal candidate will collaborate with department leadership, manage project deliverables, generate manuscripts, and support strategic planning and accreditation efforts for educational programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in impactful research and shape the future of graduate education in clinical psychology.

Job Duties

• Manage clinical psychology/psychiatry research studies, overseeing hiring processes, ethics and regulatory compliance, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Disseminate clinical research outcomes through presentations and meetings with academic and community groups, as well as coordinate with advocacy organizations.
• Teach and mentor research coordinators, students, and volunteers involved in research studies, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Generate and publish manuscripts related to the ongoing research program.
• Collaborate with research staff and department leadership on study-related matters, including patient recruitment, regulatory concerns, and clinical treatment challenges.
• Engage with leadership teams from the Department of Psychiatry, School of Health Professions, and Baylor College of Medicine to explore innovative and evidence-based curricula for program development.
• Contribute to strategic planning and development of accredited educational programs in psychology, ensuring they meet accreditation standards and market demands.
• Participate in educational committees, task forces, and initiatives to improve the quality of clinical psychology education.
• Develop program materials related to accreditation, curriculum design, and market analysis for a potential graduate program in clinical psychology.
• Utilize effective teaching methods, including lectures, workshops, and seminars, to educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners.
• Supervise and mentor students, providing feedback, evaluation, and guidance to enhance learning outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. from APA (or equivalent) accredited program.
• Experience in psychology education, preferably with experience overseeing graduate student learning.
• Licensed or license eligible in state of Texas
