Job Description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving orders, processing paperwork, and creating delivery tickets daily.
• Responsible for preparing and reconciling daily trip sheets and load sheets.
• Assist the branch manager with inter-plant and special pick-ups and deliveries.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Utilize systems, reports, and monitoring devices provided by the company to better manage fleet, for example, GPS systems.
• Establishes and maintains delivery routes to optimize fleet operations.
• Direct activities of drivers while on their routes.
• Responsible for reviewing fuel data and working with rivers and management to minimize costs.
• 24-7 on call, must be available to tend to the needs of diverse, routes, and equipment. Some weekend work required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises drivers and Dispatch Assistant position.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable federal, state and local laws.
• Interviewing, hiring, and training, as well as evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
