Join Kellogg Community Credit Union as a BSA Specialist out of our Second Street branch in Battle Creek!

The BSA Specialist role is a critical position to the organization. The BSA Specialist helps the Credit Union to remain compliant with the Bank Secrecy Act and other anti-money laundering regulations. This role works hand in hand with the BSA Officer to execute the Credit Unions BSA program while being the lead for the Cannabis Banking service line.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor transactions and activity for suspicious behavior and investigate unusual or suspicious activity.
• Analyze and summarize account activity, identify patterns, and prepare reports per compliance requirements.
• Monitor high-risk accounts and perform enhanced due diligence such as PEP and sanctions screening, Derogatory information reviews, and investigate potential OFAC matches.
• Ensure the Credit Union BSA program is compliant with all laws and regulations while working with the BSA Officer to ensure all BSA related items are properly addressed.
• File Suspicious Activity reports with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network when necessary.
• Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and other regulatory agencies.
• Develop, and revise when applicable, procedures, policies, and program materials.
• Stay up to date with BSA regulations and advise management on necessary changes to the Credit Union's BSA program.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

• Three to Five years similar or related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong soft skills, including tact and relationship building
• Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Suite
• Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications

The ideal candidate will have strong availability Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. This position is located in Battle Creek, Michigan.
